Rodrigo Dias Almeida (born March 30, 2004, in Santo Tirso, Oporto District, Portugal) is a Mozambican racing driver who competes under the Mozambique flag. With a diverse background in GT, prototype, and touring car racing, he has established himself as one of Mozambique’s top motorsport talents, consistently delivering strong performances across multiple racing categories.

In 2024, Almeida is competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, where he currently holds 4th place in the championship, just 4 points behind 2nd place. He has shown remarkable consistency, with multiple top-five finishes across circuits like Shanghai, Suzuka, Buriram, and Bangsaen. Additionally, he made an appearance in the Carrera Cup Swiss at Imola, securing P2 in Race 1 and P3 in Race 2. Earlier in the year, he also competed in the Prototype Winter Series (LMP3) at Portimão, finishing 3rd overall.

The 2023 season saw Almeida competing in ADAC GT4 Germany, where he finished 5th in the Junior category with notable results, including a 3rd place Junior finish at Zandvoort. In endurance racing, he took part in the Winter Series (GT4) at Jerez de la Frontera, securing an overall victory.

In 2022, he stepped up to the DTM Trophy, finishing 5th in the overall standings. His standout performances included a podium at the Norisring (P3) and a victory at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.
Before that, in 2021, he raced in the Portuguese GT Championship with a Porsche GT3 Cup, achieving a P2 endurance finish at Portimão. He also competed in the BMW M2 Cup, finishing 5th overall, and made his mark in the Mozambican National Extreme Festival, winning the Picanto Cup.

Almeida’s early career included participation in the 24 Hours of Dubai in 2020 at just 16 years old. He also raced in TCR Europe and TCR Iberico DSG, securing a win in Misano and a podium in Jerez before the championship was halted due to COVID-19.

With a career spanning from karting to high-level GT and endurance racing, Rodrigo Dias Almeida continues to rise as a strong competitor on the international stage, proudly representing Mozambique.
